Taper Time!

I’ve been pretty excited to start tapering ever since long runs exceeded 15 miles. On long runs when I hit thirteen miles I think to myself, “I feel great, I could do this every week!”. Without fail, once I hit fifteen miles I’m miserable and it is a numbers game. (more…)

Rock’n Around the Pier 1/2 Marathon

This is my third time doing the Brian Waterbury Memorial Run, which offers a 1/2 marathon and 6 mile fun run. The vibe of any even starts with packet pickup and this one starts off on the right foot. Packet pickup runs very smoothly and has extremely friendly staff, including the race director. (more…)
